T.V Time – Being Human

L-R : Damien Molony (Hal), Lenora Crichlow (Annie), Michael Socha (Tom), Russell Tovey (George)

So its series 4 of Being Human and I have watched the show from the very beginning and have always been a huge fan. Now however (SPOILER ALERT) with 3 of the main cast having left I was sceptical to how it would continue.
So as you know if you have seen series three we found out that Nina was pregnant with George’s baby, and in the series finale Mitchell (Aiden Turner) was killed by George.

The series opens with a flash forward to 2037 and a ‘resistance’ group are sheltering from a world which has been destroyed by vampires. When we flip back to the current time and we find out that Nina (Sinead Keenan) has been killed and a distraught George is protecting their new-born baby from the new army of vampires against them.

After being tricked into fighting the vampires there is one scene in the first episode which was particularly emotional this was when poor George (Russell Tovey) met his end by tricking his body into thinking it was a full moon, to fight of the vampires, however when he changes back his it is too much for his body to cope with so as the door opens for him to enter the spirit world he tells Annie (Lenora Crichlow)  and Tom (Michael Socha, who has now been promoted to a full time cast member), that he has to go through so he can be with Nina, and tells Annie he wants her to look after the baby.

During the episode you only get small glimpses of Hal (Damien Maloney) the newest cast member, but we can figure out that he will fill the vampire shaped hole left by Mitchell.

Overall I really enjoyed the first episode, and I think that the rest of the series looks promising; if you haven’t seen it you can catch it on BBC Iplayer, if you have seen it let me know what you thought.

Being Human airs on BBC Three on Sundays at 9:00pm

T.V Time

So today I thought I would talk to you about a new TV show I’m currently loving. It’s New Girl and although I know it’s been on for a while in America it only started over here in the U.K a couple of weeks ago.  New Girl is about a “adorkable” woman Jess, played by Zooey Deschanel, who has just broken up with her boyfriend and moves in with three single male roommates Nick, a bartender; Schmidt, a professional lawyer and modern-day Casanova; and Winston, a former basketball player.

I find this program is just really easy to watch and you can be guaranteed there will a moments in every episode where you will laugh out loud, even when I'm not laughing I'm sitting there watching it with a stupid grin on my face.

New Girl is currently showing on E4 on Fridays at 8:30pm in the UK

Let me know if you’ve seen it and what you thought.
